A close friend gave us a play tent for our first grandson when he was about 2. After retiring, we started making them in 2002. We started with the original 5' model and decided to use budget or close-out fabric to keep material costs low so we could offer them at an affordable price. Soon we added the Princess model to meet requests for girly designs.

We developed the large 6' model in 2006 in response to customer requests. Originally our sales came from holiday bazaars and craft shows at local churches and schools. We began selling at the nationally known External link opens in new tab or windowCanton First Monday Trade Days in 2006 and had a permanent booth at that monthly market in East Texas through 2011. We're proud to be included on the External link opens in new tab or windowSavvy Auntie website, which has been featured on national television.

We still handmake each teepee ourselves right here in the USA and are able to offer reasonable prices since we're the only employees and we use our smoke-free home and shop as factory and warehouse to keep overhead low.

"Grandparent built, grandson tested" is a fact. That first grandson has graduated college and his younger brother is working at it - wow, how time flies!
